Karyn Denten is a Chicago-area abstract artist creating contemporary abstract paintings often influenced by a sense of place. With a BFA in Art and a background in graphic design, she brings a strong sense of structure and balance to an intuitive painting process.

Her paintings develop through layers of color and mark-making, balanced by quieter areas throughout. Details emerge, inviting a closer look and a moment of contemplation.
